Client

Lifecycle Adventures
Lifecycle Adventures builds custom cycling tours across the western U.S. and Europe, but their WordPress site no longer reflected the caliber of the trips. It was slow under the weight of its own photography and difficult to update. They needed a full migration and redesign: a site that sells a premium, personalized experience, feeds trip inquiries straight into the team's existing workflows, and is easy to maintain as they add new tours.

Project Goals

  • Migrate the entire site: tour catalog, destination pages, and 50+ blog posts from WordPress to Webflow without losing SEO equity
  • Redesign the experience around Lifecycle's custom-itinerary model, so every path leads to a trip conversation
  • Build a complete lead-capture system (Request an Itinerary, Design Your Tour, sample itineraries) wired into the client's existing automations
  • Dramatically cut page weight and load times on an image-heavy site
  • Launch with privacy compliance, analytics, and documentation so the team could run the site themselves

My Approach

1. Discovery & Migration Planning
  • Conducted a full content audit of the legacy WordPress site
  • Mapped every URL and redirect for 1:1 slug parity to protect search rankings
  • Architected CMS collections for tours, destinations, and the blog so content stays editable without a designer
2. Design & Interaction
  • Built a refreshed design system across Figma and Webflow, grounded in the brand's adventurous, personal tone
  • Created responsive tour cards with filtering, a multi-step Design Your Tour form, and a Request an Itinerary modal that lower the barrier to a first conversation
  • Designed a signature scroll-drawn trail animation that echoes a route map as visitors move down the page
3. Build, Optimization & Launch
  • Ran a site-wide performance pass: WebP conversion, responsive image sizing, lazy-loaded and deferred scripts, cutting key hero images by up to 90%
  • Implemented region-aware cookie consent, GA4/GTM analytics, and spam protection on all forms with zero disruption to the client's live automations
  • Led pre-launch audits, the DNS cutover, and hands-on handoff documentation so the client's team could take over confidently

Impact

The new site launched with search equity intact and generated nearly 200 qualified trip inquiries in its first two weeks. Page weight dropped dramatically across the heaviest pages, and the Lifecycle team now updates tours, pricing, and blog content entirely on their own. The site matches the experience it sells: personal, polished, and built to grow.
